Program Philosophy
At Get Together Preschool, young children learn best in a warm, caring, and joyful environment. With a background as an Early Interventionist and a credentialed Early Childhood Special Education teacher, the program combines years of professional training with a deep love for early learning. The approach is inspired by several well-known educational philosophies—RIE, Reggio Emilia, Montessori, and Waldorf—but most importantly, it is guided by what children truly need to grow and thrive.

In the program, your child will be encouraged to follow their curiosity, build friendships, discover independence, and enjoy meaningful play every day. The curriculum is shaped by your child's interests, questions, and discoveries. Instead of following set themes, observation guides what children are drawn to—whether it's cooking, bugs, building, storytelling, or art—and learning experiences are built from there. This keeps learning meaningful, joyful, and naturally motivating.
Sensory play is a big part of the program because young children learn with their whole bodies. When children touch, squeeze, pour, mix, smell, see, and move, they build strong brain connections and deepen their understanding of the world. Sensory play is fun—but it is also powerful learning.

Get Together Preschool is led by an educator with 15 years of experience in early childhood development and special education. She holds a master's degree in Early Childhood Special Education, a teacher's credential in ECSE, and advanced training in the California Preschool Learning Foundations, DRDP, and ASQ.
Your child will learn in a warm, structured, and developmentally informed environment designed to support every learner, with deep knowledge of child development and individualized learning strategies.
Evidence-based assessment tools like DRDP (Desired Results Developmental Profile) and ASQ (Ages and Stages Questionnaire) track progress and ensure every child receives high-quality, personalized support that meets their unique needs.
